It’s about 6 a.m. when we have to get up so that we won’t be late when we arrive in Strasbourg.  We get our things ready and watch the landscape.  We are happy to see France and cars with French license plates.  I get off at the Strasbourg train station with joy.

Today is mom’s birthday. We want to call her. In this train where we didn’t sleep well, sitting in these seats, we call mom; she’s happy. We sit down again and we start talking with the American and our neighbor who is a young Croatian vacationing in Romania.

I wake up this morning in a comfortable bunk in our compartment. There are more controls. An American in his 70s next to us is fed up with having to take out his passport all the time. Dad starts talking with him about the world today and the United States.

This morning I wake up early. After seeing the victory of the OM on my iPod Touch with the wi-fi connection, I go for a stroll and wander around the house, and then I come back and sit on the stairs in front of my room. It’s at that moment that Homid comes out of his room, he’s getting ready to catch a plane to Berlin.

We wake up this morning without any time to lose since we have a plane to catch. We get ready and I write a text while dad goes into the street to take some pictures. Since there is wi-fi, and after finishing the text, I go on Internet with my iPod Touch. It’s at that moment dad comes back. We have to go. After putting away the last few things, we go downstairs to do the checkout. Meanwhile, I watch people play a Turkish board game. I don’t know the rules very well but I want to learn them.

I have to get up early today, at exactly 4 a.m., because Sharam’s driver will pick us up at 6 a.m. to take us to the airport. We have to take a plane to Nakhitchevan. There are no trains between Baku and Nakhitchevan. It would have to go through Armenia which separates these two parts of Azerbaijan; and that’s not possible.

This morning, I get up quite late and dad is already up. We call mom to see how she is and if she has already left with Djanan, since Miss is fulfilling her dream of going to London with mom. I think about them a lot and this trip that she’s been dreaming about for a long time.
